So you want to Skydive. The club has a range of methods for you to do your first jump.
Club membership for the year is £25 and entitles you to cheap transport and massively susbsidised jumping!
Just pop down to the social to sign up and get on a course.
To skydive you must be in reasonable physical shape, boys must be under 89Kg and girls 82Kg.
With Raps you start of on static line which means on your first jump all you have to do is push yourself out of the plane and the parachute is deployed for you. The day previous you will be trained in how to exit the aircraft and guide your parachute safely down to earth. You can get qualified in a minimum of 18 jumps however the average is around 30.
Remember to bring a duvet or sleeping bag and a pillow for staying over saturday night in the bunk house.
Training cost: £175, includes training and 2 jumps. (Would be £230 for 1 jump outside the club)
Subsequent jumps: £25 (£40 if you were to do it outside the club!)
When: The course runs on saturdays, and weather permitting you get to jump on the Sunday. We will arrange it and usually come down with you
This is the quickest and most popular way to get into the sport. It differs to RAPS in the way that all the jumps take place from 13,000ft, so that's 1min freefall on your first jump. For the first three jumps you have 2 instructors in freefall with you and for the remaining 5 only 1. After you've completed the first 8 coached jumps you have to do 10 solo consolidation jumps and then you're free to come and jump with us!

When: This course runs only on Mondays so you will usually have to get yourself to the dropzone
The quickest way to experience freefall, you get strapped to a very qualified instructor who guides you down in freefall and under canopy. A good idea if you're unsure whether the sport is for you or not.
Tandem: £230
